Most TSS Google accounts are required to have 2-factor authentication enabled. If your TSS account doesn't have this enabled, you might be presented with an error when you try to sign into Google that says something along the lines of Your security settings don't meet the minimum requirements of your organization... When this happens, you'll need to email the IT department (tssinfotech@tetonscience.org) for help. We will make it so that you can log in again. But then you'll need to follow the steps below to turn on 2-factor authentication.
1. Sign into your Google Account.
First, open Google Chrome (or open a new tab if Chrome is already open). Click on your profile badge on the upper right side of Google Chrome...
Then click on Sign in again (Sometimes this will show up as "Turn on Sync")
Follow the prompts by putting in your TSS email and your password. You should now be signed in again.
2. Go to your Google Account settings page.
Start by going to www.google.com . Then click on your profile badge...
Then click on Manage your Google Account...
A new page will open that shows all of your account settings.
3. Turn on 2-step authentication.
Start by clicking on the Security option on the left side of the page...
Follow the prompts to turn on 2-step verification...
After putting in your phone number, Google will send you a text with a verification code. Go ahead and type in that code when you're presented with the page shown below...
Lastly, click on the Turn On button when you're presented with the page shown below...
